Congratulations to the winners of our Auguston School Chess Competition. Thank you to all the students who participated and to Mr. Ketelaar, Div. 11 Teacher, for his leadership in the Chess Club.

Auguston's Ready Set Learn event took place on May 25 for new Kindergarten students and their families. It was so fun to meet you all!

At Margaret Stenersen Elementary School, there is a big and beautiful tree that some people want to cut down. The tree is a cedar and I LOVE IT!!! It is peaceful and I do not want it cut down. There are lots of trees at our school but this is the biggest. You are going to break our school’s heart. So many students play there. It is an old-growth tree and it holds all the school’s secrets. - Arija J., Grade 4

What a fun evening we had on May 5 at the Spring Fun Fair! Thank you Auguston PAC, the many volunteers, all those who donated whether to the silent auction or cake walk and, of course, all the families who came out to make this year's Fun Fair great!

Charlotte's Web Trivia Questions

There will be three sets of trivia questions total. From those entries who get all the questions correct, a random draw will be held for the winner. Three sets of questions = three winners. During our celebration day on May 31, our winners will be drawn and win a prize of a stuffed animal to take home - we have a Charlotte, a Wilbur and a Templeton stuffy to win!

On Thursday, April 20, we had our Volunteer Tea to thank our amazing volunteers! Volunteers were invited to enjoy some tea, coffee and homemade goodies and enjoy some class presentations as our way of saying thank you! 

Students enjoyed the nice weather while reading outside during Friday Friends on Friday, April 14!
