Parents & Students
Parent's Role
Education is a partnership that involves the teacher, the parent, and the student. We encourage all of our parents to take an active role in their child’s education.
Some ways to get involved include:
- show your child that you value education, and school involvement
- get to know your child’s teacher - good communication is important
- take part in school activities as noted in information sent home by teachers and the school - be a parent volunteer
- attend parent-teacher conferences
- contact the school if you have a question or concern
- make sure that your child has brought home all school notices from their teacher, if applicable, and complete permission online for district and school forms and field trips
- help your child make the most of his or her study time, show encouragement and support
- ensure that your child arrives at school prepared for the school day (supplies, homework, gym strip, lunch)
- review and sign student planners daily to keep apprised of schoolwork OR see online information from the teacher
- check website weekly for updates and make sure to take a look at our Blog/School Photos to see all the amazing things happening at Auguston Traditional
