Welcome back to a brand new year of learning, Auguston ARROWS! Students at Auguston are called the Arrows and each of the letters stands for an important virtue.
A = Ambitious
R = Respect
R = Responsibility
O = Order
W = Wise
S – Safe
In September 2000 Auguston Traditional Elementary School opened its doors and became the second traditional elementary school in the Abbotsford School District. As a traditional school, Auguston operates within the Public School System, and follows the prescribed curriculum and regulations of the British Columbia Ministry of Education. As a traditional school, a strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring:
- a consistent, structured approach to instruction
- a clearly defined standard of academic achievement
- a clearly defined standard of behaviour
Students, parents, and staff members from a variety of backgrounds and schools come together at Auguston to form an educational partnership. This partnership ensures that Auguston Traditional Elementary School is a vital and nurturing place for our students to learn and grow. The key to this partnership is communication and the understanding and support for the traditional philosophy of the school. Together we can make your child’s school year at Auguston Traditional Elementary School a rich and rewarding experience for all of our educational partners.
