Class Requests 2025-26

Class Placement Request Information

Students are assigned to classes by staff, based on educational and social criteria. If a parent/guardian would like to make a placement request, here are the guidelines:

  1. Between May 13 and June 6, 2025, ONLY parents will need to fill out the Class Request Form.
  2. All parents will understand that making a request for a teacher does not guarantee that we can honour the request.   ALL REQUESTS MUST BE POSITIVE.
  3. Requests cannot be made through email or verbally with Principal or teacher.
  4. Parents must submit a separate form for each child (not a family request that covers all of your children in one letter).
  5. All requests must be positive in nature to be accepted.
  6. Requests for classroom teachers are considered based on a number of factors. Please note that while we read each request and take it into consideration, we cannot guarantee that each request will be able to be granted. We do not consider ‘keep with their friend _____’ requests as a part of our planning process, though we will ensure that each child has students they know and can work well with in our decisions on class placements.
  7. We often receive a great number of requests in regards to students being with a chosen friend.  Unfortunately, these requests will likely not be granted and/or looked at as there are too many to consider.
