
Willband Creek Park field trip
On Friday, May 9, Div. 13, 14 & 15 classes will travel by school bus to Willband Creek Park. The purpose of the field trip is Science - observation of seasonal changes, adaptations of local plants and animals.
Students will travel by school bus leaving Auguston at 9:15 am, arriving at Willband by 9:45am, then leaving Willband at 11:45am, arriving back to school by 12:15pm.
Students need a small backpack/lunch bag containing water bottle and snack, closed toe walking shoes and to be dressed for the weather with a hat, sunscreen (applied before coming to school) or, if it is raining, raincoat, rain pants or a muddy buddy and an umbrella are recommended. The field trip will proceed rain or shine.
Please complete consent in schoolcash. The Go Grant provided by the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation covers bussing costs for the trip and an honorarium for a guide from the Abbotsford Mission Nature Club.
Approved volunteers are needed to accompany students on the bus (please indicate your request to volunteer in schoolcash and your participation will be confirmed by your child's teacher). Volunteers MUST have the appropriate paperwork valid for the current school year and an approved criminal record check (CRC lasts 5 years).
