Earth Day - No Uni

Show your School Spirit on Earth Day

This year Earth Day falls on April 22^nd and we have some big plans to celebrate! We will recognize Earth Day here at Auguston by:

• Having another No Uni for a Toonie day – students are encouraged to wear earth colours (greens, blues and browns). Please sign up and pay on the schoolcashonline website. If students are not participating in our No Uni fundraiser, they are expected to be in their usual uniform attire.
• Aiming to have a litter free lunch – please use compostable wraps or reusable containers to pack lunch items that day. (and every day if you can!)
• We will be participating in the Community Clean Up School Challenge. Students will be picking up garbage on our school property and in our local community on Monday afternoon in an attempt to beautify our surroundings and be kind to our earth.

"No Uni for a Toonie" for the year!

In an effort to streamline and reduce cash* being handled at schools we have set up our “No Uni for a Toonie” days with the option to be paid online in schoolcash. This also makes it easier for parents.

We have established a set number of these days (10 “no uni” days) which means that you would pay 10 x 2 = $20 per child one time only and be good for the year!

Money collected from these days is donated to charities (ie. Terry Fox, Remembrance Day (Veterans), etc.) as well as helping with Gr. 5 activities, school enhancement and to benefit overall student experience.
