Cross Country Meet

Grade 4/5 students are invited to participate in Auguston Traditional's Cross Country Team. This year we will be running cross-country races against other schools in our zone. The races will be on TUESDAYS. 

All three meets will be held at BATEMAN PARK (NOT the school):

• Tuesday, September 22
• Tuesday, September 29
• Tuesday, October 6

If parents wish for their child to participate, they need to provide their own transportation to and from the races. Parents need to stay for the entire race (not drop off their child). When you arrive, please look for the Auguston coach so you can check in and get a jersey if you haven’t received one at school before. The students should report to the Auguston coach 10 minutes before their race, put on a jersey, and begin a warmup and stretching routine. 

Every week the schedule will be the following:

• Grade 5 girls will run at 3:15 pm
• Grade 5 boys will run at 3:30 pm
• Grade 4 girls will run at 3:45 pm
• Grade 4 boys will run at 4:00 pm

We will need parent volunteers to supervise the racers at a designated spot along the trail. If you are available to help, please email Mrs. Howe, PE Teacher, at [email protected].
