Research Forest field trip - Gr. 1s

On Monday, June 15, Grade 1 students in Div. 11, 12 & 13 classes will visit the UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest, travelling by school bus. The bus will leave Auguston at 9:15am and return by 2:00pm.

The main purpose of this trip and its relation to the curriculum is: exploring local forests

The cost of this field trip is $22.50 per student. Please complete consent in schoolcash by Wednesday, June 10, and, if applicable, request to volunteer*. 

*Please indicate your request to volunteer in schoolcash and your participation will be confirmed by your child's teacher. Volunteers MUST have the appropriate paperwork valid for the current school year and an approved criminal record check (CRC lasts 5 years).

Materials needed: It is recommended that students pack extra socks, a hooded, lightweight wind/rain jacket, and a reusable grocery bag in case any wet clothing needs to be contained. Backpacks should be large enough to hold extra clothing, lunch, snack, reusable grocery bag, and a drip proof water bottle full of water. Please note that your child will be carrying their own backpacks.
