One Book, One School

Charlotte's Web Trivia Questions

There will be three sets of trivia questions total. From those entries who get all the questions correct, a random draw will be held for the winner. Three sets of questions = three winners. During our celebration day on May 31, our winners will be drawn and win a prize of a stuffed animal to take home - we have a Charlotte, a Wilbur and a Templeton stuffy to win!

Volunteer Tea

On Thursday, April 20, we had our Volunteer Tea to thank our amazing volunteers! Volunteers were invited to enjoy some tea, coffee and homemade goodies and enjoy some class presentations as our way of saying thank you!

Basketball Tournament at ATMS

Auguston's Grade 5 Basketball Team participated in a tournament at Abbotsford Traditional Middle School on Thursday, April 13. This was a 3 on 3 tournament, and we had 2 teams for boys and 2 for girls. Way to go Auguston Arrows! Thank you, Mr. Marchioro, PE teacher, for coaching the team!

Auguston Chess Team

The Chief Dan George Chess Tournament on April 1 was a huge success! Over 130 students participated from grades 1 to 12. Thank you to Mr. Glum, Mr. Arnold and all the staff and volunteers from Chief Dan George Middle School for putting on such a first-class competition.

Reflections on Shadowing a Student

Earlier this school year I made the commitment to report back on what I had learned as a consequence of my “shadow a student” experience.  Listening to students has been a key part of my practice over the last few years, and shadowing a student is the most recent iteration of this learning journey.

Reading Olympics Winners

Reading Olympics

All students who read certain amounts to reach the goldsilver or bronze level received a medal (K-3) or ribbon (4/5).
All students who read were entered into a draw. This year we had three prizes, one for K/1, one for 2/3 and one for 4/5. Each prize consisted of a glow in the dark blanket and a book
