Staffing Update

Hello Auguston School Community,

I was informed earlier this week that Mr. Gottschalk, due to unforeseen circumstances, was unable to continue in the role we planned for this school year.  Mr. Gottschalk will still be at the school, but just in a mentorship role as previously discussed.  He was a great help in the two days he was here. Thank you Mr. Gottschalk!

Due to this change, I am happy to announce that Mr. Tyler Lande has been approved by the District to be the Acting Vice Principal at Auguston Traditional until June 30th, 2021 (this in part is due to Covid-19, not a permanent position at the school).  His administrative duties will be primarily on Monday but will have the same title, job responsibilities, and authority throughout the week. 

Mrs. Jill Barkess who is here Thursday and Friday with Mrs. Preiss, will be in Mr. Lande’s Physical Education role on Mondays until the temporary vacancy can be filled.  Mrs. Barkess is a long time Physical Education teacher in the School District and we are excited to have her in this role as she brings a wealth of experience.
