CRCs for Volunteers/Noon Hour Supervisors

June 16, 2022

Criminal Record Checks

All Noon Hour Supervisors & Volunteers at Auguston MUST have a Criminal Record Check. If you are interested to apply to be a Noon Hour Supervisor or to Volunteer (in the classroom, on field trips, etc.), please see the process below for completing a Criminal Record Check.

Note that the Volunteer forms are completed annually every school year and those will be available in September. The Criminal Record Check lasts for 5 years so you could start the process now for September if interested.

Noon Hour Supervision for 2022-23

We are currently accepting applications for NEW Noon Hour Supervisors for 2022-23. Get ready for the fall and start the process now! A Criminal Record Check is required (lasts for 5 years).

All Noon Hour Supervisors MUST have a Criminal Record Check (CRC) completed prior to supervising at Auguston.

**NEW** The CRC is the same for Volunteers and NHS. If you have a CRC on file with the school district, there is no need to do another one.

Not sure if you have ALREADY completed a Criminal Record Check and if it is current (lasts 5 years)? Check with the office at auguston@abbyschools.ca.

If you do not have a current approved CRC, please see info. below on how to have it completed:

  • WHERE: School Board Office (SBO), 2790 Tims Street, Abbotsford, BC V2T 4M7
  • WHEN: 8am to 4pm (it is NOT necessary to book an appointment)
  • WHAT TO BRING: 2 pieces of valid ID
  • ADDITIONAL INFO.: CRCs are FREE of charge. You will not be given a copy of the CRC nor does the school have a copy of it.

Noon Hour Supervision is a 1 hour commitment during the school lunch time from 12:15 to 1:15pm* and is a paid position.  Pay is $19/hour.  Please see the Noon Hour Supervision Application form to begin the application process. If you are unavailable at lunch time, we may also need help with supervising students for After School Bus Duty.  This supervision is considered as 1 hour paid time and takes place from 2:30 to 3:00pm*.

Note: The new Principal will contact interested applicants during the last week of August for an interview if needed. Approved applicants will be contacted in September regarding additional details.

*lunch and bus duty times to be confirmed for 2022-23
