Auguston Traditional Christmas Mitten Project

Families are invited to contribute towards our upcoming school project to support the Cyrus Centre with warm winter mittens! Our K/1 classes will colour pictures from the book Metis Christmas Mittens by Leah Marie Dorian, our 2/3 classes will wrap and package up the mittens and the 4/5 classes will write messages on labels and safety pin heart beads to the mittens. Supplies have been ordered and will be here soon – we hope to pull the packages together in November for December delivery to Cyrus Centre (we purchased them a copy of the book, too!).

Let's give back and support those in need in our community this Christmas, Auguston!  The Mitten Project will be open in schoolcash from November 12 until December 13. Thank you for your support!
